SM11 is built around one idea: consistent, controllable spin from any lie. Not maximum spin. Controlled spin, which is harder to engineer and more useful in practice.

Why It Works

• Shot-specific groove profiles across low, mid and high lofts: Each loft has grooves shaped for how that wedge actually gets used. Your 58° around the green and your 50° from 110 yards don't make the same shot, so they don't share the same groove.
• Grooves 5% larger by volume: More volume means better clearing of grass, sand and moisture. Spin holds up from wet lies and heavy rough, not just perfect fairway lies.
• Heat-treated grooves with up to double the durability: Grooves are the first thing to wear on any wedge. SM11's last significantly longer before performance drops off, which matters if you're practising regularly.
• Unified CG placement across all grinds: Whichever sole grind you choose within the same loft, the launch window stays consistent. You're not relearning the club every time you swap grinds.
• Angled razor-like face texture: Increases friction and extends ball contact through impact. Particularly noticeable on delicate chips and flop shots where dwell time is short.

Who It's For

Low-to-mid handicappers who rely on their short game to score. If you're already comfortable with full wedge shots and want more control over trajectory, spin and distance on partials and greenside plays, SM11 is the upgrade.

Higher handicappers can benefit too, but only with a properly fitted bounce and grind. A badly matched sole will cost you more than the grooves will give back.

Choosing Your Bounce and Grind

This is the decision that actually matters with SM11. The grooves will perform regardless, but the wrong sole grind will fight your swing on every shot.

Steep swing or soft turf: go higher bounce. Shallow, sweeping swing or firm turf: go lower bounce. If you play links one week and parkland the next, a mid-bounce F or M grind covers both.
