Cobra King SZ-S Irons - Steel Shaft
The king Speedzone Irons from Cobra feature increased ball speeds and Ultra-low CG thanks to Cobra's first ever Carbon fiber topline. With 5 unique zones combining to make an Iron that consistently delivers on performance.
Light Zone
For the first time, Cobra utilises two strips of Carbon Fiber to replace steel both on the topline and underneath the topline creating a new I-beam type of construction allowing for saved weight and structural soundness. Carbon Fiber is 40% lghter than steel and saves 3 grams of discretionary weight to repositioned low to increase ball speed and launch in the 4-7 iron.
Stability Zone
Cobra's engineers focused on high speed stability through the use of SPEEDBACK shaping which creates a wider body design around the perimeter of the club that delivers increased MOI and aids in lower CG. The result is both forgiving and accurate.
Power Zone
Speed and distance continue to be the number one performance attribute desired by golfers. Cobra's patented PWRSHELL Technology continues to offer increased speed and higher launch even on stronger lofted irons. The new forged PWRSHELL face in the Speedzone iron features an updated E9 face structure that helps lower the CG and create more return through a deeper undercut speed channel.
Feel Zone
While most golfers are looking for more distance and forgiveness, feel is still important. Cobra engineers focused on optimising feel through the creation of a co-molded medallion system that damps vibrations quickly for exceptional sound and feel even on off center strikes.
Spin Zone
Consistency of performance through trajectory and spin is optimised by the use of progressive spin technology that is 100% CNC milled throughout the set. V-grooves are utilised from the 4-6 iron to reduce spin and u-grooves on the 7-PW optimise spin and wedge based grooves on the GW and SW to produce maximum spin for shots around the green.
In addition to the aforementioned zones of performance, the KING SPEEDZONE Variable Length Irons feature a progressive construction design – delivering progressive head shapes, grooves and hosel lengths that optimize launch and spin in the long irons, mid irons, and wedges.
Grips: Lamkin Crossline (58R) - Black (50g)
Shafts: Steel: KBS Tour 90 (Stiff - 102g, Regular - 95g)
