Callaway Opus Wedges: - Tour-Driven Design

The Opus wedge design was driven by feedback from PGA Tour players. Prototypes were used on tour for over a year before the official release, making the Opus the most "Tour-validated" wedge in Callaway history. Tour players chose the shape of the new wedge, resulting in a design that is both visually appealing and performance-oriented.  

Spin Gen Technology

The Opus wedges feature Spin Gen Technology, which combines three elements of spin to provide maximum control on full and partial shots. A new tighter pitch puts more grooves on the face, while offset groove-in-groove adds spin on shots played with an open face. An aggressive face blast increases spin and bite on chip and pitch shots.

Four Grind Options

The Opus wedges are available in four grind options: S, W, C, and T. This allows golfers of all abilities to find the perfect sole shape for their game. The S grind is a traditional sole shape with mid-bounce, the W grind is wider for extra forgiveness, the C grind offers maximum versatility, and the T grind is a Tour-inspired, low-bounce option.  

Platinum Version

The Opus Platinum wedges feature all the technology of the standard Opus wedges, but with 17 grams of Tungsten in the topline. This provides even more trajectory control in the higher lofts (54-60). The Platinum wedges are made using a Metal Injection Molding (MIM) process, which creates more precise parts and a softer feel.
