Adidas MC70 Golf Shoes - Cloud White/Silver Metallic/Collegiate Navy (HQ5053)

Adidas MC70 Golf Shoes - Cloud White/Silver Metallic/Collegiate Navy (HQ5053)

Heritage 1970s adidas styling with Boost cushioning and replaceable spikes underneath. The MC70 is the choice for golfers who want a classic leather aesthetic and won't compromise on year-round performance to get it.

Why It Works

• Dual cushioning system (Lightstrike + Boost): Two technologies doing different jobs in the same midsole. Lightstrike is ultra-lightweight foam that reduces overall shoe weight and walking fatigue. Boost provides energy return on each step, the same responsive cushioning adidas uses across their premium running line. Combined, they deliver comfort across a full 18-hole walking round without the weight penalty that usually comes with Boost-only midsoles.
• Premium leather upper: Structured support through the swing, soft feel against the foot, and the classic silhouette the MC70 is built around. Heritage-inspired without being a costume. The leather construction adds durability and a more refined appearance than synthetic alternatives at this price point.
• Spiked Traxion outsole with replaceable spikes: Rubber outsole with spiked grip rather than a spikeless pattern. Replaceable spikes extend the shoe's lifespan and allow traction to be maintained as cleats wear rather than accepting degrading grip through the season.
• Waterproof construction: Full waterproof protection for year-round UK play. Early morning rounds, autumn parkland, winter golf — the MC70 handles all of it without a bag cover workaround for your feet.

Who It's For

Golfers across all ability levels who want a classic leather spiked shoe with modern cushioning technology and year-round waterproofing. The heritage aesthetic suits traditional courses and players who prefer the look of a leather shoe over athletic trainers on the course. Particularly good for walkers who want the energy return of Boost across a full round.

One Thing Worth Knowing

The MC70 lists both Lightstrike and Boost as midsole technologies. In practice, Boost is the dominant cushioning feel and the energy return is noticeable compared to standard EVA foam. If you've tried Boost in running shoes and found it too soft or unstable for lateral movement, the spiked outsole and leather upper provide the structure that counteracts that tendency in a golf context.
