As with all products in TaylorMade’s TP line, the Rescue dual TP was created at the request of tour profes-sionals. TaylorMade’s Rescue Mid is currently the No. 1 hybrid on the PGA Tour. Numerous players who play the r7 quad and the Rescue Mid inquired about the possibilities of creating a hybrid that incorporates the trajectory-changing capabilities of TaylorMade’s Movable Weight Technology. TaylorMade listened and delivered the Rescue dual TP.
The Rescue dual TP, because of the weight and spacing of its TLC ports, boasts a signi?cantly higher MOI than the Rescue Mid TP, making the Rescue dual TP dramatically more forgiving on mis-hits. In fact, TaylorMade engineers were able to improve the internal weighting of the Rescue dual TP so that, at standard swing weight, it delivers 22% to 24% higher MOI than the Rescue Mid TP. (If the club’s swing weight is raised above normal or lowered below normal via the combined weight of the TLC cartridges installed in the TLC ports, MOI will rise, or will drop slightly.)
The Rescue dual TP’s new V-shaped sole makes the clubhead more stable at address. That increases con?dence and makes it easier to aim, which promotes greater accuracy. And like the V-shaped sole of the V Steel fairway woods, the Rescue dual TP’s V-shaped sole reduces drag at impact, helping to maintain clubhead speed through the hitting zone to promote maximum distance.
The target Rescue dual TP consumer is a player who already owns an r7 quad driver and thus is familiar with TaylorMade’s Movable Weight Technology and its effectiveness. Such players will have the TLC Wrench that came with their r7 quad. Additionally, because the wrench is not included with each Rescue dual TP, players that buy more than one loft do not have to pay for extra wrenches. Anyone needing a TLC Wrench can buy one separately, as well as additional TLC cartridges, at their TaylorMade retailer.

'BEST HYBRID I HAVE TRIED' |
|
| Strengths: |
Solid feel without dull impact sound. Not a hook machine like other hybrids and easy to hit from tea, fairway & rough.
Shaft - DGS300 - You wouldn't put a graphite shaft in a 2 iron so why put one in a Hybrid?
Grip supplied on backwards like the pros, nice touch! |
| Weaknesses: |
Haven't found any yet other than it doesn't correct my bad swings! |
| Overall: |
Never liked dull feel and sound of standard TM rescues or alternatives such as Cleveland Halo, this feels like long iron but has a nice ting like a good fairway wood. As long as a 7 wood but straighter more manageable ball flight. I paid £70 brand new so great value too. |
