The Callaway Tour IX golf balls are the most technologically advanced golf ball that Callaway have ever made. The Callaway golf Tour ix Golf Ball features 4-piece inertia technology and dual core construction designed to optimize distance paired with the new Callaway FT series of drivers make a formidable partnership.

The tour ix golf ball has a Tungsten-Infused Outer Core .

The ball’s high-density outer core moves weight away from the center of the ball for increased moment of inertia (MOI) resulting in reduced driver spin for increased distance and accuracy.

Callaway's Dual Core Construction.

The Tour ix ball’s dual core construction allows for great distance off the tee while still offering spin around the green. The lower compression inner core provides low spin off the driver for great distance while the higher compression outer core provides high chip-shot spin around the green.

Mantle Layer

  'OUTSTANDING'
Strengths: Long off the tee with seemingly less tendency to slice. Soft enough for the ball to sit on greens, even with 7 and 6 irons. Refusal to cut or scuff, these things take a full punishing shot with a wedge and display no ill-effects.
Weaknesses: They're not cheap at £40rrp, but there are deals to be had for around £30 which is acceptable for this kind of quality. You don't find many of them hiding on the course unfortunately!
Overall: This is a truly fantastic ball with all the characteristics I've been looking for - reduced side spin, durability, extra length without sacrificing feel and a rival to the ProV1x, but better in the wind. I will be bulk buying a ton of these very shortly.
